for 2 unforgettable weeks
Ta’amu U’r’u – Taste & See
The Conservative Yeshiva offers college-age students from North America a chance to experience yeshiva life in Jerusalem first-hand via a highly subsidized 2-week program of immersive Torah study.
Taamu is right for:
- Those looking to connect more deeply to Judaism and be more empowered Jews.
- Those seeking peers who are passionate about Torah and Jewish practice and who share a commitment to openness, egalitarianism, inclusion, and social justice.
- Those who want to infuse Jewish life on their campuses with more spirit and authentic, sophisticated content.
The program includes housing, some meals, trips, full-day learning, and one Shabbaton.
The Ta’amu 5779 Program is still being developed, but to get a sense of the program’s offerings and intensity, you can see last year’s schedule here.
Note – this year’s program will not have the Pre-Ta’amu days, and will have only a single Jerusalem-based Shabbaton.
Taamu is for college-age North Americans.
Preference will be given to Juniors and Seniors.
Participants are selected in order to create a diverse cohort that contains both those who seek Jewish text study wherever they can find it and those for whom the experience will be completely new.
The Conservative Yeshiva will begin reviewing applications starting August 1, 2018, but it is possible to apply now.
Spaces are limited and participants will be accepted on a rolling basis.
The latest date to submit an application is November 1, 2018.
